Website design/ development rate - to make payment
Web Design and Development is a profession. Good money needs
to be paid for a good job. There are several methods and systems of charging
website design and development. Charges could be at per page rate, hourly
rate, or lump sum rate. Various web developing firms adopt various methods
for charging: The number of pages, the website content like Graphics,
Multimedia and Text, and on the client's budget. Unless one is working
on a very small website (<5 pages total), it is not advisable to charge
by the page. If a customer needs a moderate-sized website (say, 15-25
pages, or so), one should be more interested in getting a package deal.
The per-page method of charging would have a negative impact.
However, you can come up with a pricing structure that works
for both you and the customer. For example, say a client wants a website.
Decide what pages will be needed. During your meetings, it is determined
that he needs 12 pages in his website. After considering how much work
you'll need to put into each page, you can come back to him in a few days
with a custom quote for those 12 pages. You also tell him that any work
will be charged at a rate of .USD/ hour for simple programming and .USD/
hour for more complex back-end programming.

Select the rate structure that best suits you
There can be no uniform rate structure for web design or
development, as the work is customer-specific. You have to assess the
amount of work involved in the design and development, adding web tools,
developing multimedia content and graphics, adding written text content
and providing adequate business and other links. You also have to assess
the total number of pages the website is expected to have, the interaction
and support from the clients in the matter of providing photographs, movies
clips, sound clips and text content.
Assessment of the total work is crucial, as later on you
cannot negotiate for more, once a contract/agreement has become effective.
So one will have to select the rate structure that best suits you.
Our philosophy is unless we are dealing with a small/average
client with a demand for less than 10-15 pages website, with minimum graphics
and multimedia input, we definitely opt for a package deal or opt for
an hourly rate. (Being sure to specify how many hours approximately one
is supposed to need to do the work)
Website development and design is a business activity that
needs professionalism, commitment and technical expertise. It is therefore
important that the rate structure you choose is both remunerative to you
and attractive to the client. A really tricky job, indeed. This is the
precise reason behind Excellone Web Solutions Development Company, India'
s commitment towards technology, trust and teamwork. We have competitive
rates for various web design and development jobs. Our clients would vouch
